Reputation Management Software that Intercepts Bad Reviews?
Main Post:
A local SEO client of mine recently asked about software that intercepts bad reviews when I was suggesting we implement a more rigorous campaign to get customer reviews.
I haven't specifically heard of this feature and I'm not seeing it listed on many of the major reputation management softwares like bright local or bird eye, it seems like it would be against Google's guidelines to manipulate reviews by intercepting bad reviews, it appears that the way it would work would be collecting the review within the software itself and then only posting it if it's five stars.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is it against Google's guidelines?
My client runs a great company but seems paranoid about getting bad reviews to the point where they aren't making an effort to get reviews and I know this is hurting them based on our competitor gap analysis.
I want to give them a succinct answer and solution, and if there is a good software option for it, look into it.
Top Comment: It may backfire if you intercept bad reviews entirely, like someone just mentioned. For my clients, I use this platform Synup. What we do with it is run email campaigns and add rating thresholds so only people having a minimum rating get redirected to your review page for a detailed review. It may not entirely filter out bad reviews (and you shouldn't because it's good feedback) but it definitely helps promote more positive ones to improve your overall reputation.
Software reviews
Main Post:
Have been trying to create a review for some software available in the "Software App". But just cant find out where to do this. Also created an account on flathub.org Am I blind, stupid or both?
Top Comment: If you're on gnome, you should be able to scroll down to the reviews section and then at the bottom of the big review card it says "write a review" also if you click the stars under the app name at the top it will also allow you to write a review.

Looking for reviews of centennial software engineering technology program.
Main Post:
I am considering applying to the Software Engineering Technology course at Centennial College, and would love any input on the course or college in general. I've found mixed reviews of some people saying that most of the teachers are terrible and the job prospect is really bad due to the terrible co-op setup. I am also planning to go for bachelors after the completion of diploma.
Any reply is appreciated!

Yes terrible .online class with stupid teacher is shit. Don't take until and unless college goes inperson. There is no possibility of class going online at the moment
BTech in software engineering technology ; reviews?
Main Post:
There is a bridge program at Mohawk college that takes students with a 3 year advanced diploma in electrical engineering technology and feeds them into a bachelor's in software engineering.
It is offered completely online, I'm wondering if anyone has done this program and has any thoughts on the difficulty / expectations / gotcha's this program may have? I'm considering starting this September as I finish at Mohawk this semester.
Thank you in advance.

I'm taking this program part time right now. It was by far the best degree completion program I've found. There are a few others you can consider, especially if you're looking at going full-time (Guelph, Seneca, Lakehead -- actually Lakehead looks awesome, but it's a bit of a commute) there's an online one at Athabasca too - but I took a couple of courses from it a few years ago and it was terrible.
So far the courses have been challenging and really relevant to my career (I have worked full time for 7 years, this is more of a career development thing for me).
I've heard it can be hard to go full time because the schedule is so limited. So if you're looking at 2 years in and out, it might be tough.
This is only my third semester but I'm happy to answer any specific questions.
Injection molding simulation software reviews?
Main Post:
Currently at the company I work for, we have been using Autodesk Moldflow to help design our injection molds. Recently we found out the (already high) cost of renewing our subscription was going up and we are considering other programs. The only other ones we are really aware of are Solidworks Plastics and Moldex3D. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these or possibly even has used one of them and Moldflow and has some idea how they compare. Any help is appreciated.
Top Comment: Solidworks Plastics is garbage. Never used Moldex3D but I've heard good things about it. Look up a company called Beaumont, they design molds and they have traveling sales reps which come and talk about the software they use. You can ask them about alternatives; even their little free sales pitch is very helpful.
Reviews for COMP3141 software System Design and implementation and COMP 3231 Operating Systems.
Main Post:
So I will be in last year of my computer science degree, and have chosen to do COMP2511 ( previously 2911 ), COMP3121 Algorithms. I want to chose at least one more COMP3/4 elective for sem1. I am confused between 3141 and 3231. Which one do you guys recommend? Which one's easier / WAM booster? I am dreading 2511 already ( heard too many negative reviews about it lol ) so looking for an easy course. Any other COMP recommendation would be great too. Thanks
Top Comment:
COMP2511 is not bad at all, you will learn a lot of things and the assignment is really enjoyable. The only problem I feel like most people have was with the final assessment(exam) but if you practice working on their sample exam paper with timer than it is very doable. I kinda a screwed my assignments but I did really well on finals.(Which is opposite of what most people do) You have to be able to write pretty quickly though.
Heard good stuff from both of them, it depends if you like low-level programming or not. If you don't then go for COMP3141. Either is a good choice and will require you to put a lot of effort.
Google Rating & Review Management Software
Main Post:
I saw a piece of software in another industry that i want to copy for my app. It was a pay at the table product for a restaurant, as soon as you were done it prompted you to leave a review, if it was a 5 star review the next screen took you right into Google Review. So first screen was proprietary if 5 stars it kicked you into a Google Review to keep the 5 stars. If it was 1-4 stars it took you into an internal survey tool so bad reviews weren't public.
Is there any SAAS product that could handle that workflow that i would just whitelabel into my app? There a lots of review/management tools but they all look entreprise and dont want to sit through 10 sales calls, so asking this group.
Top Comment: This is a surefire way to lose all of your Google reviews. If you get reported to Google, they will wipe out all of your reviews dating back to when they made the policy update.

Looking for a Quickbooks online review, is it really worth it?
Main Post:
I’m thinking about switching to QuickBooks Online for my small business but I’ve seen some mixed reviews. Some people really like it but others say it’s not really that user-friendly.
I’m mainly wondering how it handles integrations with other tools and if it’s actually easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Top Comment: If you can survive without count your blessings. It’s not quick and it’s not intuitive. It’s also a roach motel: business owners are let in...they can’t get out.
